About Us
SS Foundation, established on 7th February 2022, is a dynamic and impactful non
governmental social organization. With a passion for advocacy intended for social
change, the foundation is fueled by an unremitting commitment to the greater
welfare of the communities. Based in Nepal we collaborate with like-minded
international agencies and organizations for social causes. Registered under the
aegis of Nepal’s Company Act (THE COMPANIES ACT, 2063 (2006), Article 18
(6), dedicated to directly benefiting local communities and addressing the pressing
needs of disadvantaged individuals.
Driven by a commitment to substantial social change, the SS Foundation operates
with unwavering determination to usher in tangible social welfare activities with
visible results. Our mission transcends mere rhetoric; it is a resounding call to
action that reverberates through the very fabric of society with the mantra of
“Sarvajan Hitaya Sarvajan Sukhaya” means “For the welfare of all, for the
happiness of all.”
Our presence is not just a symbol; it is a dynamic force that catalyzes meaningful
transformations, leaving an indelible mark on the social landscape of Nepal. We
don’t merely dream of a better world; we actively carve out that reality by delving
into major sectors that serve as the building blocks of social progress.
Mission
Our mission is to empower communities through sustainable development,
focusing on key areas such as Literacy and Education, Poverty Reduction,
Environment Protection, Social Justice, Women Empowerment, Rural
Development, and Sustainable Livelihood.
Vision
Our vision is audacious but attainable – the empowerment of rural communities by
reducing poverty, illiteracy, and socio-economic injustice. Through fostering
connections between people, environment, and livelihoods, we aspire to build a
future that is not just sustainable but thriving.
Objectives
As a non-political and non-profit social institution, the SS Foundation is possessed
with the following objectives corresponding to three major themes of the
institution:
- Empowerment and Development- We aim to empower rural communities
through sustainable livelihoods and holistic development initiatives. - Eliminating Injustice- Our goal is to eliminate poverty, illiteracy,
ignorance, and socio-economic injustice entrenched in Nepalese society. - Preserving the Environment- SS Foundation strives to preserve the
environment for a sustainable future, forging connections between people,
the environment, and livelihoods.
Our Team:
The SS foundation was established and is run by a team driven by passion, and
fueled with diverse expertise. We are adoring individuals, each bringing unique
skills and unwavering commitment to social causes.
Madan Das Shrestha- Chair Person
Madan Das Shrestha, the chairperson of our foundation doesn’t even need an
introduction. He is a renowned actor, recognized for his contributions to the Nepali
film and television industry since 1985, earning a reputation for decency and
excellence. In recent years, he has been engaged in various social welfare activities
and established himself as a prominent social worker.

Our Impact
Actions speak louder than words, and SS Foundation’s track record is a testament
to our dedication. From distributing vital educational materials to supporting
communities during natural disasters, we make a tangible difference. With
initiatives like:
Distributing learning materials across seven districts, igniting the spark of
knowledge in young minds.
Equipping hospitals and health posts with critical medical supplies,
safeguarding lives during a pandemic.
Providing rescue equipment to police forces, aiding communities ravaged by
floods and landslides.
Various districts in Nepal together with Dolakha, Doti, Chitwan, Kavre, Manang,
Nuwakot, and Pokhara (Kaski) bear witness to our welfare initiatives that
correspond well with our mission, vision, and objectives.
To fulfill its commitment to educational empowerment, SS Foundation distributed
bags and essential teaching/learning materials in above mentioned locations to
ensure that educational resources permeate every corner of the nation.
SS Foundation takes a commanding lead in the healthcare arena too. The
oxygenators and a comprehensive suite of medical equipment, including masks and
sanitizers we distributed reverberate through hospitals and health posts in districts
such as Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchock, Kavre, Nuwakot, and Dhading. Our
effort was aimed at fortifying the healthcare infrastructure with an assertive stance
in the face of public health challenges.
SS Foundation asserts its pivotal role in disaster response and community safety
by proactively distributing cutting-edge rescue equipment. We took initiatives to
fortify the District Police Office, we assertively provided essential tools to support
and rescue victims of floods and landslides.
